Abstract

Low birth weight is defined as a newborn weighing less than 2500 g, regardless of its gestational age. It is important to identify risk factors that childbearing age or pregnant women may have, and the knowledge they have on this subject in order to implement educational activities at different levels. This would enable a better health and happiness for the mothers the infants and the family.
