Post-phototherapeutic keratotomy corneal haze. Case report
Keywords:
corneal haze, photorefractive keratectomyAbstract
Introduction: corneal haze is a complication of refractive surgery, mainly of photorefractive keratectomy, caused by superficial scarring of the stroma. Case report: a 28-year-old patient with a general personal health history and eye disease history of myopia is presented. He presented a haze after a photorefractive keratectomy with marked involvement of visual acuity. One year after the surgery, without improvement despite medical treatment, it was decided to perform a phototherapeutic keratectomy. Conclusions: with the procedure performed, quality and visual acuity were significantly improved.Downloads
