Characterization of women victims of unintentional injuries

A descriptive and cross-section study of women over 15 years attended in the Provincial Department of Forensic Medicine was conducted to receive unintentional injuries in the municipality of Sagua la Grande from January 2013 to January 2014 in order to characterize them as biopsychosocial aspects, legal and criminological doctors involved in the incident and the victim. The primary data collection was conducted by reviewing the files of investigative lower complexity of the Revolutionary National Police and files of preparatory phase of the criminal investigation. Direct observation through legal medical clinic visits applying the model of the opinion of legal health of the injured and a questionnaire. A predominance of ages between 36-45 years, of civil state with a stable partner, with higher secondary level of education, with housewives occupation, the highest frequency of injury was blunt force harmful agents in connection with the spouse, mobile passion, the scene of the crime at home. The most frequent injuries were those not serious that they did not need medical assistance.Downloads
