Relationship between neurofocal dentistry and neck and shoulder pain

Introduction: a number of circumstances in the oral cavity are called interference fields, which may behave as the trigger for a disease. Objective: in the present study, the fields of interference in patients with articular bone disorders and their most effective treatment were determined. Method: the information was obtained from a quasi-experimental study conducted in patients who assisted to Bioenergetic and Natural Medicine Consultation of the Faculty of Stomatology of the University of Medical Sciences of the Province of Villa Clara in the period between October 2012 and January of 2014 for suffering cervical and shoulder pains. Results: the main foci or interference fields were amalgam and retained teeth, which were highly significant in relation to the disease studied. Conclusions: the effectiveness of the neurotherapeutic (0,5% of lidocaine) was demonstrated for the treatment of neck and shoulder pain.
