Digestive presentation of the splenic artery aneurysm. Case report
Keywords:
aneurysm, splenic arteryAbstract
The aneurysm is a permanent dilation of an artery that presents, at least, 50% increase in its diameter. The location is very varied but, in order of frequency, the abdominal aorta is the most frequent place of settlement. Among the aneurysms of the visceral branches of the aorta is the splenic aneurysm, its complications can entail to high mortality, quickly and suddenly. It presents the case of an adult man who began to suffer from digestive symptoms who was diagnosed with a splenic aneurysm. Surgical treatment was performed, which required splenectomy; the results were successful despite the risk of eminent aneurysm rupture.Downloads
