Abstract

The invasive candidiasis is an important disease in the patient population for their critical-frequency and high mortality (38 to 80%) - which is associated with increased cost and hospital stay. The total numbers of isolates of Candida shows an upward projection in recent years and are the Candida tropicalis and Candida guillermondii species, with 30% and 35% respectively, the highest frequency. Susceptibility testing according to the Candida species reflects that Candida guillermomdi  is most sensitive to fluconazole; other varieties are resistant.
