General considerations on massive suprachoroidal hemorrhage

Massive suprachoroidal hemorrhage involves the breaking of the branches of the long and short posterior ciliary arteries after a period of hypotonia that occurs after penetrating trauma or intraocular surgery and, less frequently, spontaneously. Risk factors may be ocular and systemic (or both), many preventable and, in some cases, prior to controlled surgery by a suitable ophthalmic medical history is taken. Vital importance for the patient's vision timely identification of this disease and its proper handling and avoid fatal complications arising from it.Downloads
