Abstract

In this second part we update the key aspects in the histopathological diagnosis of the celiac disease or gluten–sensitive enteropathy. We also emphasized the pertinence of using the classification of Marsh-Oberhuber and we make a review the current state of the immunophenotyping of intraepithelial lymphocytes and the contributions it makes to the diagnosis of this illness. Additionally, the traditional treatment is described and the therapeutic variants in the research are considered.
