This investigation was carried out with the aim of characterizing the peculiarities of the structural expression of the emotional intelligence in a sample of patients with neurotic anxiety disorder who belong to the community Center of mental health at the Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja Teaching Polyclinic of the Camajuaní municipality, Villa Clara Province. The sample was formed by 50 patients between 25 and 55 years of age. In the work the following techniques were included: Trait Meta-Mood Scale, Spielberger State Anxiety Questionnaire, the scale of Vital Satisfaction and White-Bear Suppression Inventory. Alterations in the structure of the emotional intelligence were found; they were based on the centralization of the attention to their emotions and feelings and the incapability to clarify their emotional states, as well as a high incidence of ruminative styles.Downloads
