Guided tissue regeneration in the treatment of chronic periodontitis. Presentation of a case
Keywords:

Tissue Regeneration refers to the replacement of damaged or dead tissue with new ones with the same function. It is limited to the replacement of specialized cells and its stroma, support and vascularization. A case of 44-year-old male engineer, periodontally treated in 1999, is presented. The treatment was concluded until the corrective phase, because he did not attend the maintenance until 2009 when he presented "bleeding of the gums and accumulation of food between the teeth". He underwent a flap with preservation of taste, placing a BIOSS graft and resorbable collagen membrane, resulting in greater bone height and a decrease in the depth of the bag.Downloads
