Abstract

The so-called first golden hour for the adult patient becomes the first platinum half hour for the child. This review article is based on some peculiarities of the pediatric patient with multiple injuries and shows the experience at the José Luis García Miranda Provincial Pediatric University Hospital – together with the requirement of acting, and based on the life-function-aesthetics and the standard of constant re-evaluation of this patient. “Any therapeutic maneuver designed to solve a potential life-threatening situation will be made at the time of detecting this, never at the end of the assessment”.
